Ohlins Damper Kit

When you push your bike to its limits sometimes it tries to bite back. If you’ve ever been into a corner on the ragged edge you well know how any tiny input can upset the bike’s trajectory. Taken directly from our racing experience, the top-spec NYC Norton Ohlins Steering Damper Kit was designed for the performance street rider, allowing 24 clicks of adjustment to dial in the damping necessary to prevent exaggerated input when heeled over on that edge.  Steering dampers are required, for good reason, by almost all racing organizations. They are the perfect addition to our classic street-going Commandos, tightening up the handling, eliminating head shake, and giving confidence in cornering, acceleration, and braking, by dampening the inputs and rider’s reactions to the irregularities of the road.  Our premier Ohlins kit mounts directly to the downtube and attaches through the hole of the stock Commando bottom fork yoke.  Each kit comes complete with Ohlins damper, polished alloy downtube clamp, spacers, stainless fasteners, and complete instructions, and can be fit to your bike in minutes, adding performance and a touch of class to your Norton. (Note: Due to space limitations Ohlins damper kit not suitable for bikes running coils in the stock position).
