Customer Mark Silverstein came to NYC Norton with little but the basic components of a 72 Commando motor and gearbox in boxes.  Our directive was to do up the motor making it “faster than  Peter Billow’s”.  Ha.  No easy task, but a good challenge, indeed.  We built the motor up meticulously, complete with our own successful recipe of the Street Performance porting, PW3 cam, bump in compression, and lightweight pistons and rods.  Months after delivering the completed motor and gearbox back to Mark, he asked to bring in the chassis and exterior components he’d been working and and have us button it all up.   And now, the result… proof is in the pudding.  I suggest a street race (legal, of course) between Billow’s Streetfighter and this Low and Lean Commando.  I think Mark might have a slight advantage with the NYC Norton Keihin FCR kit, but we’ll see… when the green flag drops, the bullshit stops.
